Founded by a group of East-African expatriates and Cologne-based members, Migrafrica gGmbH is more than an organization; it is a community. Our journey began with a shared vision to create a space where immigrants and emigrants could find support and a sense of belonging.

At Migrafrica, we are driven by a commitment to foster beneficial developmental policies at both national and international levels. Our primary focus is on the integration and support of migrants, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities needed to thrive. We also advise volunteers or full-time employees of other non-governmental migratory organizations on social, judicial, and administrative matters. We believe that labor market integration is essential for true inclusion. With extensive experience in facilitating employment and job placement, including vocational preparation and being an intermediary between employers and job seekers, we have helped numerous individuals to secure employment.

Migrafrica is supported by diverse funding bodies, including Aktion Mensch, the European Social Fund, Erasmus+ program, and regional governmental entities, among others. This support enables us to operate multiple projects, all unified by our core values and housed under one roof. Our diverse team, many of whom have personal migration experiences, brings empathy and understanding to their work. As part of the RES-MOVE project, Migrafrica is leading initiatives in Cologne.
